First Hand Foundation, founded by the Cerner Corporation, helps individual children and their families who do not have access to health insurance or state aid through both monetary and in-kind donations.  The Foundation helps with clinical necessities (such as medication and surgeries), medical equipment and travel related to a child's care.

Ronald McDonald House New York provides temporary housing for pediatric cancer patients and their families in a strong, supportive and caring environment which encourages and nurtures the development of child-to-child and parent-to-parent support systems.


The Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley provides families with critically ill and traumatically injured children an atmosphere of comfort, hope and courage, keeping them close to the care and resources they need. The House has 12 bedrooms that are filled to capacity almost every night. We also provide meals, laundry and respite services for our families during their stay. Located on the campus of the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY, the House is just steps away from the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital. Since it opened in 2011, more than 1,800 families have called our House their Home.

The Danny Fund provides financial, emotional and advocacy support for the families of children under the age of 21 who reside within a 30 mile radius of Pelham, NY., and are suffering from a catastrophic illness or injury.

Our goal is to prevent the financial and emotional collapse of these families by providing the assistance needed – for as long as necessary – to help them remain stable.
